Anyone's baby nap on their tummy?

It seems to be the preferred position for my DS (2 months) and I haven't wanted to go with it due to fear of SIDS, but he just won't nap on his back (even though happy with back through the night). I'm wondering whether napping on the tummy is an option if we are careful to keep a close eye. Is there an age where tummy sleeping is regarded as safer?

Thanks.

DD was a back sleeper (and was swaddled), however if she wanted to sleep on her tummy in the daytime I wpuld have let her. The main risk I read to tummy sleeping was how deep it makes them sleep - that they may not startle themselves awake if they stop breathing. Daytime is usually bright and noisy with you awale around them so Id imagine that would prevent the extra deep sleep that comes with tummy sleeping.

Plus they look bloody cute laid asleep on their tummies.

If you're going to let them, I'd get a sensor pad just to be on the safe side.
