WE ARE MOVING TO OUR NEW HOUSE IN 2 WEEKS {SMILE}

I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE HAD ANY TIPS ON HOW TO MAKE THIS A PAINLESS AS POSSIBLE IN REGARDS DD.

SHE IS 20 MONTHS OLD AND A PRETTY GOOD SLEEPER. THE HOUSE IS BRAND NEW SO WE CANNOT DECORATE AS YET, SHE STILL SLEEPS IN A COT.

WE HAVE ARRANGED FOR HER TO SLEEP AT GRANDMA'S HOUSE ON THE FRIDAY NIGHT (WE MOVE ON THE FRIDAY) AND WILL JOIN US AGAIN THE NEXT EVENING.

PLEASE HELP DONT LIKE SLEEPLESS NIGHTS.

I have moved a couple of times with dd at 18months then dd at 5yrs and ds 10months.
Had know problems-make sure she is in her own cot,with her normal bedding and soft toys and hopefully she will sleep as normal.Little ones adjust much easier than we do.

Good luck with the move.

Funnily enough we are moving too on 27th dd now 6yrs and ds 18months and im not worrying about them.

I am sure she will be fine

I was soo worried about moving and even ummed and ahhed about moving because of this ( he was just two.

I just made sure that his bedroom was the first room I set up (as similar layout as the old place as possible) and I know this sounds funny but with sheets and quilt that were about a week old in his cot so they had his smell on them. then made sure his fifi toy and pillow were in there, made a big deal of a new big boys room and hey presto- he was absolutely fine and took to it like aduck to water- its only now were having trouble! (see insomniac post)

we moved when ds1 was 20 months and ds2 was 5 weeks (i know, how stupid were we).

i was stressed about it all but ds1 was absoutely fine, he ahd the same cot and bedding, etc and it did not affect his sleep at all. Sometimes the different sounds in a house can take a bit of getting used to (the house we moved into was a victorian one and we had previously been living in a purpose built flat so the house was much noisier and creekier!).

ds2 went into his own room as well and slept better than ever without me waking him up with my millionth trip to the loo in the middle of the night.
