Is it possible my 9 1/2 month old cried herself sick?

My DD hasn't been able to get to sleep on her own for the last few nights (and to make things worse she's just moved into her own bedroom) without crying for at least an hour.. I do go in to her every 10 mins or so but she just gets worse when I leave the room again. The other night I left her to cry for about 15 mins and when I went in she started to throw up everywhere...it was her tea from 4 hours later mixed with her recent bottle....could it be possible she got herself so worked up that she made herself sick?

My dd has done this since she was 5 months, if i let her cry for more than 5 mins she will throw up until her stomach is empty so yes it is possible. First time dd did it i thought she was ill as she was so sick and wouldnt stop crying but now i know that she gets herself so worked up it makes her sick.

Yes - very common for babies to cry so much they are sick.

Yes, it takes something like 48 hours for food to digest properly. I think that's to go all the way from one end to the other, but I'm sure it stays in the stomach for more than a few hours (and you can sick up poo's too - I'm sure that I saw that on a Jamie Oliver school dinners)

NO WAY!!! Yuk!! Poo>? Well, I've never heard of that one. Mingin...... Last night she cried for an hour before falling asleep but luckily she hasn't been sick since that episode...maybe she's learned her lesson? Giggle
