MN on blackberry - ishooos

Not sure whether this is just my bberry or all, but I've been having some problems with MN on bberry and they seem to be increasing. I tend to use my bberry to read MN rather than the pc as I can read threads while bf.....

Anyway, problems are:

1. Can't log in so can't post. If I click "log in" it asks me to enable javascript. If I do that, I can't load threads (tells me they're too large) and doesn't log me in. It's been like this since the big change around the end of last year. I have a feeling this might be my bberry though....

1. Posters names don't show on threads. Has been like this for a couple of months.

1. New problem - emoticons don't show, appear as the word with three sides of a square around it

1. Fairly new problem - threads now load as pages and start with the most recent post. This means you have to load the thread, then go to the last page to start reading it. Very irritating and takes ages to read threads.

1. Fairly new problem - the whole site seems to load as if I was on a pc, so I have to either zoom in or click on column view in order to see anything. When added to pages issue it means if I wanted to read a thread in e.g. chat the procedure would be:

• load MN
• zoom in and wait for zoomed view to load
• click on topics
• link loads
• zoom in and wait for zoomed view to load
• click on chat
• link loads
• load as column view
• click on thread I'd like to read
• link loads
• load as column view
• click on "last" as it's in pages
• *link loads
• load as column view
• go to bottom, read upwards*
• for each page, press previous and repeat from to

It's pretty laborious, as reading this probably is...!!

I think from another thread that there are plans to launch a mobile version of MN, so thought it might be useful to know about these gremlins on the "traditional" version.

I use blackberry. I find that if I want to use it on blackberry I'm better off having my settings on here set to paged view, rather than displaying a whole thread, cos otherwise it sends my bb nuts.

I've also found that the RIM browser doesn't like a LOT of sites. i can't access internet banking, and a ton of others with that - and it is mind numbingly slow.

Dowload mini opera, and use that instead! It's much better for mnetting too.

I also try and use MN on my Blackberry and have similar problems.

I find the log in problem the biggest issue. I enter my user name and password and it never ever logs me in first time. Over the last 3-4 weeks I am having increasing problems trying to log in; it is taking well over one time to get logged in and stay logged in. I am struggling to remain logged in and lose posts I write as a result. It is very frustrating.

I have no similar problems with other sites I use.

When not logged in I can't see users names.
