Recipe of the week

penguinmum's creamy fish pie: smoky, seasonal fish in a creamy white sauce with grated, rather than mashed, tatties on top - a meal of the highest comfort-food order.

Whatever happened to Rachel - one of the original Mumnset 'three'?

(43 Posts)
<<Nosey Icon>>

Whenever I see stuff about the Mumsnet Founders, Justine and Carrie (as per the feature about the Red Award today...) I always think 'What happened to Rachel?' so I thought I'd ask.....

I'm sure when MN was set up there were three 'founders' weren't there?

So what happened? Do tell....

Ah - Rachel - glad you're here.. (and not under the patio...)

I think I met you at one of the early events - was it the champagne reception in Covent Garden?

Yes - I remember the days when it seemed like every other post was from you (and we accused the MN team of name-changing and posting to themselves, just to keep the threads going grin )

Ah yes, those were the days.... smile

I was someone else then of course wink
Is that really her?

She has a very nice manicure and a pretty headscarf I notice. smile
I can see why Gordon was a bit recalcitrant tbh- was that after Rachel handed him the bourbons or whatever?
shock
If you do a google image search for Rachel Mumsnet then this comes up

hmm

I think we need to see a photo of Rachel holding a copy of today's Daily Mail, to be certain.

This thread has made me laugh this morning. I am very much alive and well, just busy beavering away behind the scenes to make sure the site is ticking along nicely. Pleased you remember me from the old days, Legacy, when I used to post more, largely cos there was no-one else around to do it!
I mean he's sort of big and hairy

he didn't have actual yellow horns when I met him and wasn't licking his chops at the thought of gobbling me up

not in a HUNGRY way anyway

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
