Sorry to add the confusion - but is the new MN worse on Firefox?

I can't tell the difference between writing & links and then I can't tell if links have been visited - Threads change colour on the 'I'm on' page after they have been visited

My smilies are all fuzzy

& the font has definitely changed because I compared a print our with one previously printed out - I think it is just a size difference

I'm not complaining btw - I think the Techs have done a marvellous job, I have never seen a big web launch that didn't fall over/implode/or generally stop working; so they have done fabulously if all we are whinging about is colour, losing the 'Watched' threads and font size

Hi Katy, I just cant get used to this. I want the old MN back. Like you say, you cant differentiate between reading threads and not. Not impressed at all.

Have you tried doing a Shift + F5 to refresh the stylesheet Katy?

Also, were you using Mumsnet Classic before? I was, and found the new site too much of a 'white out', but then I went into Customize and changed to the new look, and it's much easier to use.

I quite link it

I just wondered if my 'glitches' were as a result of using Firefox

I keep dipping into threads I've read already, not realising they're not new to me. ALL because they don't change colour anymore after I've read them. Grrr!!

I have decided I shall 'hide' threads instead, otherwise it's really hard to distinguish between threads.

Well, I have now discovered that you can't hide threads if they happen to be 'special needs' ones.

WHy?

Double GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

Why is there so much fuss about the special needs topic?

I never even knew there was an option to hide it from active convos, why would you want to?

Starlight can you zoom out the page on your browser settings? It might help.

I don't particularly want to hide them. I want to be able to hide any threads that I like. I have, as I explained earlier, been doing this, so as not to clutter up my 'active convos' board. However, have just discovered that when I try to hide any that happen to be listed as 'special needs' these ones won't hide away (in spite of the computer giving me the usual message 'we have hidden xxxxxxx ' )
