Dear Mumsnet Towers, please can we keep our 'threads I'm on' for more than 3 days?

I often 'lose' all my conversations because I go to work for 3 nights and when I get back onto MN on the 4th night, they're all gone! and I don't know how so-and-so got on and what happened with this that and the other and the other day, the top I agreed to buy was sold to someone else (they waited long enough for me but I didn't get the message) even 5 days would be good.....any chance?

I should hunker, but I never think to and never think I'll be away as long as I am!

Will have a work with Techola and see if we can't make this a customisable option too... we'll be back!

Nnnnnnnnnoooooo!!

I have a mass posting on threads during the weekend, and as I mostly kill the threads, I dont want to see them for 3 days, let alone any longer!!!

Hi there all, we are just working on customisable talk stuff, so we'll make it so you can choose how many days your threads I'm on lives for.... actually why am i posting, that is pretty much exactly what justine said....

Back to work you!

Is there any way to delete a thread so it doesn't stay for 3 days. Sometimes a quick post is all that's needed and then you're stuck with the thread for days......

I would be happy about the customizable option, there are some threads I want to forget about as soon as I post in them, and they keep creeping on my recent conversation for 3 looooooonnngggg days!!!

AND can we have more than 30? (or however many it is)

I hate to miss things!

Tinker we weren't ignoring you, honest. we been storing up lists of requested improvements for ages. It's just that we are only just doing them (at least I should be doing them). I'll look at upping the limit. It should be simple enough to make it configurable.

You're forgiven.

I would like the option to select certain ones to keep for longer and others to get rid of. Some conversations are over in one night but others can go on for weeks
