I know this has been raised before, but there is a zombie thread in trending.

I don't know Mumsnet's procedure for putting threads in trending, but surely linking to zombie threads is undesireable.

OP posts:

Which one? It might just be one person reading it, at this hour.

Or it's been linked elsewhere.

I don't see the problem.
Some people get so wound up about zombie thread becoming active again, but why not? Maybe the subject matter is interesting to another poster, or some comments are worth commenting on. I have seen several zombie threads continue with new and interesting angles.
I don't see the issue.

There is an issue with zombie threads. Like when people invest time replying to someone they think is a current poster only to realise their 10yo DD is now in secondary school doing GCSEs (for example).

It is annoying even if the thread is on an interesting topic.

Mumsnet don't 'put' threads in Trending. They appear there when there has been lots of clicks on them.

I agree Daisy.

I agree with pearly. Such fuss over nothing. It's like make up work, making a task out of nothing (a complaining post or thread; making MN look at or pull it)

It teaches you to read the OP properly. First thing I look at is the time /date it was posted. Unless it's something interesting or funny I move on.

I've been caught out twice there won't be a third time quickly checks time & date if OP
