Is resettng your password meant to be such a faff?

I can never remember what my password is since we had to reset them recently so, having finally got my Macbook working again, I had to log in, which I failed to do due to the aforementioned memory problem.

So, I asked for a reset. The email came through fine, I clicked the link, reset my password and was told the link was expired.

So, I asked for another reset. This link worked, I changed my password and got an email to say it had been changed. There was some faffing about after this when I had to reset it again but that might have been user error.

Why did the original link show as expired when it didn't take me two days to use it? Did I somehow try it twice? I'm sure I've had it do this to me before on the many occasions I've had to reset my password.

Sorry about this Owl, we have tried to make the process as simple as possible and the link shouldn't expire so quickly at all.

We will let Tech know what you have said and see if there is an issue with the link.

Has anyone else had this problem recently?

Thanks.

The first one expired in less than a minute, the second was fine. I was told it had expired after I'd gone through the process of changing the password.

Second time round it worked but then it wouldn't let me log in ?ith that password but, as I said, this could have been user error. Third time worked perfectly though :o

I was resetting it through Safari on an iPhone.
