Thread has disappeared overnight?

Hi, I posted on a thread last night about a dress I sent to Thomcat, and I have logged ont his morning to add something and the whole thread has mysteriously vanished. I have searched both current and archived threads extensively and found nuffink
I then went to "contact mumsnet" but it requires my login passport - but I have no idea what that is or when I got one so I can't even email to ask the question.

Does anyone know what's happened to it? The title was "Does anyone have a 4 year old/104cm/41" daughter...." or something like that.

(I do realise I'm setting myself up for looking like a dumbass here btw...)

Weirdness abounds Ledody!

That's the one WWB - yes! Thank you!! It still isn't in my "threads I'm on" and I can't search it though. How did you find it?

I found it in Chat - it looks as if the missing threads are still in the topics, they're just not coming up when you search. It's all a bit odd ...!

Your login password is the one you use to log in to post - if you can't remember it, you can email MN Towers at [email protected]

Lol - I can remember my mumsnet password, but this is asking for my Microsoft passport - I haven't got a clue about that as I don't use it! Thanks again for finding the thread!

Hi Squarer, bit of a long story on the missing message. It will show up again withing an hour or so.

The microsoft password thing is a different issue. All that is is a link to our email address. How your computer reacts when you click it depends on how your computer is set up. If you have an email program set up, it would normally start that up and start a blank message for you. If you don't have an email program set up, I think internet explorer might be taking you to msn/hotmail so you can set one up (it's presuming you don't have an email address or program already perhaps.) You can always get in touch with us by sending an email to [email protected]

Hi tech - thanks for responding! Thought I was going mad....

re the passport issue, I did know it was my setup that was the problem btw, just frustrating that I couldn't contact you to ask about the thread (should have known the email off by heart anyway, the number of times I have seen it) but being as you respond here there was no need anyway - thank you

Ooh would this account for the Dr Who sticker swap thread that has disappeared since last night? It could hardly have been controversial! I have emailed MN and am awaiting reply, but I would really like to et back to the thread ASAP as ds1 wants to know what is available. (You understand this is my 10 yo's impatience, not mine!)

DG.. as WWB did, if you go to the section it was posted on under " by topic" you will find it in the list (but won't be able to search it). HTH

I thought I was being clever by going all the way through threads from the last day but I could not remember what it was posted under so I really did have to look through practically every thread. Still didn't find it, but fortunately someone I was talking to has bumped it for me. It just seems to have been completely eradicated from any sort of list. Weird.

hi, for reasons which are a bit tortuous to explain, some threads won't be on threads I'm on. They are available on search all messages. Sorry for the confusion
