I was on a thread about hearing loss. Advert for hearing loss (can't actually remember the details). On a thread about recycling, ad for "Eastern Waste Disposal".
I know how it works but it is really really effective and rather creepy.

thread about Maggie thatcher, advert for "looking and feeling beautiful".
Guess we can tell where your political alleigances lie - what next, Cameron's hair gel?

Could be worse, on Facebook I seem to get lots of ads for '57 year old Mum looks 27' and weight loss ads.
I am obviously fat and desperate to reclaim my long lost youth....
Oh, and the dating sites.

:o
At least you don't get penis extension ones
Sorry...don't look right, I dread to think what might pop up

I hate this. DH always knows when I've been online shopping (even if it's just the window variety or I'm thinking about buying something) because related ads pop up in the sidebars of all our shared web bookmarks. Grrrrr...it's like a portal to my BRAIN.

Yes, we know the Google ads do look at bit odd sometimes (to say the least). But they do make a wee bit of extra dosh for us - that comes in useful in keeping the site running and paying for new servers and stuff - so we hope you don't mind them too much.

If ever you see an ad that's truly distasteful and out of place - and we'd class penis extension ones in that category, for sure! - do please let us know, and we'll block them.
