Is there a problem with the profile pics at the mo?

The other day I tried to add some more to my own profile but couldn't get into My Photos so I got bored and gave up.

But today I am looking on the 'guess the breed' in the DogHouse and everyone's pictures are just tiny boxes.

What has happened?

I want to look at pictures of dogs..
