Help secondary school year 10 !

Hi I need to relocate from Leicestershire to Surrey by end of June / July the process for a school place is proving to be a nightmare .. Gordons, Tomlincote school are the 2 I am most keen on but I haven't moved yet and they want a postcode and these 2 schools are diff catchments .. And what are the other schools in the local areas .Its totally the wrong time for my boy don't know what else to consider just want the best like any parent..
If I secure a property walking distance to Tomlincote what guarantee is there on a place and what would be a good second choice ? If anyone could advice ?

I would start a thread with the school names in the title! You need to catch the attention of posters with specific knowledge, not the thousands like me who will click on your thread simply because we have Yr 10 kids.
