I am considering sending my daughter to Lady margareth's sixth form next September and would appreciate any up to date feedback. Other schools on my list is St Marleybourne or Twyford. Many thanks!

I have heard the new head is an improvement but this school has a long journey back to past form. Hopefully the ethos is much improved. I thought it was too high risk last year.

The best thing you can do is to keep options open and see if GCSE and A'Level results are better in 2016 than they were in 2015. They were declining year on year for the last few years I seem to recall.

The school was very badly managed after Joan Olivier left and the governors did not deal with the issues that were apparent to vast swathes of the school community. Behaviour, leadership and ethos were allowed to deteriorate for about seven or eight years and the school lost sight of its history and former standards.

Just to chime in with BeaufortBelle. I hear that there is a lot of spoon feeding to get the exam marks rather than encouraging opinions and critical thinking. We know several girls there and they have all had the same experience in the last few years. Its past reputation, combined with limited state choices has kept its popularity going.

The new head is trying to fix things but she's quite the task on her hands. So in short, don't go on it's past reputation. Take a careful look.

Thank you for the helpful feedback. Looking at the rankings LMS is still a very solid performer close to London Oratory and Marylebone. Plus the leavers destination is to good quality Russel group universities. How do you rate the new head and the sixth form head, are they addressing the issues at the school? Many thanks!
