On Wed dd came home distraught on Wed. Had found out along with another girl that coursework deadline was Friday - apparently her group were the only ones not informed. They only found out because they overheard someone talking about it. Wed was no good as we had NT tickets relevant to her and ds's coursework.

Surely school should have informed her? Only re-doing it because of ongoing severe migraine causing absence and communication issues with the teacher. She's upstairs trying to finish for tomorrow but it won't be her best work. She's now on big meds for migraine - really hope this doesn't set them off again.

Am making her a cake- not many other ideas.

Just asked DS and he says that they were informed by their subject teacher of when deadlines were/are. He has resubmitted pieces.

I would be phoning the HOY tomorrow tbh to find out what has happened.

She can only do the best she can in the circumstances and just give her a huge cuddle and tell her you will be proud whatever the result.

Thanks. Lovely dep head is doing his best after they went to see him. It's just so frustrating for her.

They will have to inform the exam board that she had an extension, but will be able to cite health problems.

My DS was late with coursework (lazy, disorganised) but I don't think he was penalised.
