Hi, my daughter is currently year 8 state school. She's G & T for several subjects &, I feel, not getting pushed enough (at all actually!) Having approached the school several times for more work etc (which she is asking for - not me being a pushy parent), I am considering moving her to a private school - possibly Woodbridge. Just looking for any feedback re other children there, how happy they seem etc? Thanks.

No personal experience but friends have children there. OK school, very musical and fairly sporty. Most children join one of the CCF groups in year 9. It is an active CofE church school so not a good choice if you are not. Not as academic as some other local independants - Ipswich etc, but the school will often be flexible re. having children in the "wrong" school year - I know children who have been a year behind and others a year ahead so this could be an option for a gifted child.
Strangely though the local comp always beats it in the A level league tables!

I know a MN whose son is in Yr 7 there. Don't want to name her but if you put this in Chat she will probably see it and may give you some info. HTH!

We have had two children there( one still there), it is Cof E but certainly never noticed it particularly , certainly not ostentatiously so. Caters very well for fairly wide range but does as well at top end as the other academic independents in the area , better by some measures. Very good pastoral care , very positive school .PM me if you want any more info

Local school makes everyone takes loads of subjects to boost average A level score. You need to look at average score per subject taken ., suddenly local school doesn't look so good .
