Restaurant with dairy free options in centre of Glasgow?

I'll be taking Mum to Glasgow for a birthday weekend soon and we're looking for somewhere to have a celebration meal.

She has to stick to a dairy free diet and though there's usually something she can have on a 'normal' restaurant menu, it often means that she's forced to have something she's not all that keen on as it's the only option.

Is there somewhere central we could try? We've been to The Butterfly & the Pig but discovered there were no pudding options open to her as we hadn't asked in advance.

I'm not sure about dairy free places but I know la tasca, cafe andaluz and viva all do gluten free so it might be worthwhile calling or tweeting any of them to see if they extend to dairy free

Glasgow has loads of amazing vegan and vegetarian restaurants with vegan menus - according to my vegan friend so do a tripadvisor search for them. She's always going through from Edinburgh to eat out. I would ask her but she's on holiday.

It's been a while, but I remember 13th Note being good for vegetarian/vegan and dairy free.

I think Red Onion has a dairy free menu. Nice restaurant and good food.

We had a great meal at Red Onion so thanks very much Hadme. Food and service both excellent so we'd definitely return.
