Just when you think you actually have it all under control

something happens that makes you realise you need your OH.

Crashed my car today. I was determined not to drag DH out os his classroom, so handled the recovery of the car, scoured the house for the documents and then realised I had no current MOT. So in a panic rang school to leave a message for him. And then blubbed when he rang back. He came home (on his pushbike ) and held my hand at the police station. Now he's out buying me tampons because I can't face going out.

And I've been getting restorative cuddles from the children too.

I don't think I'm cut out to be an island after all.

Aww that's nice. Unfortunately I have spent so much time relying on myself that I am now incapable of relying on someone else.

Well that's the point brahms. I sort of thought i could handle everything independently. I think it's admirable to be self-sufficient.

Aw. He sounds lovely.

My DH would have come home too if he could. Can't see him buying tampons though! Or flowers. He would have cooked a nice meal and poured me wine.
