Drink Driving dilemma, what can I do?

First off, I'm a regular - names changed to protect the innocent and all that. Absolute promise. The namechange isn't to protect myself, but a friend and her DC. Genuine query here.

Said friend is currently going through a divorce. I won't go in to the ins and outs as its not my place to put someone else's personal details up here.

Anyway, her soon to be XH has been drink driving and has (in the past) done this with DC in the car (he is now longer allowed anywhere near DC without supervision because of this). His continuing to do this. IMO his behaviour is absolutely despicable and he should be stopped but how would you go about doing this? I thought there was a number you could phone or something like that? How would it be treated by police?

call police non emergency,ask for their advice. its not unusual for drivers to be caught after a tip off from a concerned member of public!!

description of driver,vehicle make,colour reg number. direction travelling and destination. probabalr route.

how would you know this person is over the limit though?

Yes this is the problem - I don't know when they would be over the limit because I'm not 'there'.

I don't think that's enough to go on is it? Police can't do anything unless they have concrete info.

FofaF, Are you my friend?! I am in a very similar situation! Oh wait just read op again, no my h doesnt have to have supervised contact, but wow could have been written by any friend of mine!
