.........and it is not my fault.

DH's great grandma died back in may. We have been promised some money to make improvements to the house, as DGGM knew that we were needing space with the growing family.

the money is in, so the in-laws have come round with cheques....the children are to get a small amount each to put into saving ready to buy a car each when the turn 18

anyhooo

DD1 got one
DD2 got one
DD3 got one
DS1 got one
DS2 got one

DH got one

FIL looked at me, and handed me an envelope....I looked back confused. My name is not on the cheque, but MIL told FIL about how awful a time I had last week with aunty and mother (I sobbed and sobbed on her), and he said I needed something for me.

altho the cheque is for us both, it is going into DH's account, but that meant technically, that I got nothing.....so FIL decided otherwise.

I got £100 cash, just for ME, to spend on ME, to cheer me up and prove how much the family loves me......and that I do not need 'my' family.

how loved am I

but DH is sulking as HE doesn;t get cash just for him.....

but

((I have offered to share, apparently I am not allowed to....))

WHat lovely PIL you have. WHy is your DH sulking? He has a fat cheque and if he is desperate for money he can always take it down to the pawnbrokers and have the cash in his sweaty mitt tomorrow morning (though it will cost him about 10%)

Buy some nice underwear that'll cheer him up then enjoy spending the rest on something you want? (like a massage)

that is so nice! It must be really great to have such a lovely family on your side!

When you spend your lovely cash get DH a Beer and a curry (or whatever his favorite thing is) and get yourself a tacky number 1 daughter mug/coaster/t-shirt

No doubt they are very happy you have provided them with 5 sickeningly gorgeous grandchildren. Couldn't resist a peek, they are lovely.

What do you like? hairdo, manicure, girly pampering stuff? Tickets to a concert for you and DH a friend?
Or, with DH - a date? Nice meal, wine......and sexy undies of course!
