Need a rant about my normally ok MiL

Ok, MiL is usually ok. She's recently started to do stuff thats annoyed me slightly. For example;

This Christmas she bought DS (13mo) MilkyBar Selection Box and mini G&B White Choc. I avoid anything Nestle where ever possible and don't give DS chocolate yet.
She and FiL bought him a very loud, plastic babywalker (She knows I hate loud plasticky toys) ok, it will be living at their house, so not big deal there.

She's been desperate to give him a "dippy egg" and was quite put out when I told her no a few months ago when DS was not long on solids.

Theres other stuff too, but I think I'll

DH agrees she's being a bit annoying. I just wanted to rant somewhere and get it out of my system. Thanks

Yeah, they all do that. You aren't allowed to silently knife them under the table either (I've tried, DH stopped me)

Quite impressed with the thought of a selection box for a one year old - my DD is 14 months and she'd have had great fun with the packaging and holding the chocolate till it all melted, before watching mummy recycle the card and chuck the rest away. In front of my MiL

I asssume a dippy egg is a soft boiled egg. I think that's okay past one though. Chickens are vaccinated against Salmonella these days aren't they?

Aye, I think they are allowed soft boiled egg now. But that small vindictive part of my brain is neglecting to tell her.

DS ain't that co-ordinated, how she expects him to dip a soldier into an egg I have no idea.

Really... you're ranting about a granny buying a child sweeties. Get over it.

There are loads of stuff to shit your pants about rather than a few sweeties, IMHO.

My DS also 13 mths got the following from 1 person - a milky buttons multi pack, a pack cheapy choc santas and a selection pack.

I wouldn't even buy that much chocolate for an adult!!
