Please tell me I'll be alright!

Hi,
Basically to get to the point, I've just realised that I forgot to take my pill yesterday, and I just need reassurance that I'll be okay.

I last had sex last Sunday, but then my dp broke up with me on the Monday. I'm half way through my pack of pills now, but forgot to take it yesterday. Will I be alright? Will I need to skip the week break, and go straight onto the next pack?

I'm just worried that now we've split up, I don't want anything to do with him, and can't believe I just totally forgot to take it yesterday.

Thanks.

How can reassurance form strangers help???

It doesn't work like that.

You need facts.

Sperm only live for a week, tops, so if it's a week since you last had sex then you should be fine.

Go and have a word with a pharmacist in confidence. I think DaisyMoo's right, but unless she is medically qualified, would go and get it confirmed. (Sorry DaisyMoo, no offence intended)

You need expert advice from either a pharmacist or your dr or the FPA- go along and see someone quickly.

You can't be too careful- I have a lovely 18 yr old daughter now conceived as part of what I thought was a safe period, which was only 8 days into my usual 30-32 day cycle - it wasn't quite unplanned but just not expected especially as it took 8 months to conceive my son.

So get some advice!
