He dumped me in the cruelest way...how to feel okay?

After being single for years I met him in august and he was great. I was falling in love with him. We spent so much time together and he made me feel so happy. Then I noticed in a space of two days he was distant,quite abrubt with me. I rang him on my way to work and no answer then he blocked me and deleted me from his facebook account. Three weeks later (this morning) I click on his profile and he is in a relationship with a new girl...he posted it this morning. I'm so upset,couldn't end it like a man. I don't know what I did wrong?I feel like a joke,he clearly started it up with her whilst with me. I just dont know what's wrong with me?
