Have been divorced for 2 years and have just started dating a guy , after lots of first dates. Waited till the 4th date to have sex. Definitely lust, not sure about love. MetOn Tinder.
Anyway has sex on Sunday, which was obviously a big deal for me.
Was ok, but not as spectacular as I imagined. It has bought back a lot of feelings about my ex. I was with him for 23 years. Next date tomorrow, not sure whether to repeat the experience
Does anyone else have experiences of post divorce sex that they may want to share.

In what way does it remind you of your ex?

I think first time sex with a new partner can sometimes be a bit awkward or fumbly, or just a bit underwhelming. Men, I think, can really feel the pressure. You don't know each other yet. Are you sure you're not over-thinking it?

I think I am over-thinking. Plus trying to compare him with my ex who somehow felt comfortable in that department.

I think what you're doing & feeling isn't at all uncommon. I'd think we all compare previous experiences & liaisons when with someone new. Give him another go & see what happens
