Sorry I'm just new to this but why does everyone think people who post things whether they be newbies or post strange things are trolls??

I had been reading posts for a while before I posted and I did say "I'm not a troll" maybe a red rag to a bull as I did get shot down in flames (or it felt like it)

I'm just curious don't want an argument Smile

Saying "I am not a troll" is a bit of a giveawat, tbh Smile

Most of 'em start with a similar intro. "I am not a troll but what should I do about the peedo next door who keeps climbing into my children's bedroom window every night ?"

etc

You might also want to swerve any references to be being only 19yo and very naive about the world , living on a farm with sisters who wear nightdresses, anything at all to do with sheep

etc

I've NC before and been called a troll. If you post something quite personal you get jumped on. Eg if you said you had backache from big boobs how do you get them reduced? People would think that you're an old man in a basement, living with his parents wanting everyone to discuss their boobs.....

was the one about the woman who had eggs chucked at her car and fist in cake she baked a troll? I remenber that one totally sucked in and could not sleep!

But the worst one everyone slatted as as a troll the poor woman went into hiding. Her DH threated to sufficate her in her sleep...so frightening.

I was slatted on my first ever post on MN as it was 'Where can I get a gun as ex is trying to kill us' no one believed me and I didnt have a clue what a troll was?

I nearly left MN over that first post as I thought you were all a bunch of nasty bitches Grin it was only in time I realised why some reacted as they did! It brought back a lot of PTSD for some MNs in similar situations in past too.

Thankfully I stayed as the support I have had here over the last few years and still get has been amazing and had contact with the most lovely helpful people who will help me practically and emotionally when needed and made long term friends which I cherish.

I name changed few times but as soon as I kinda explain most oldies Grin know me now.

Solesoruce what was your story no one believed? Grin

Lol! My name is 'Lady' because my DH and I were the only couple within a circle of (male) friends. They all called me Lady"surname" and it has stuck. Didn't think for one minute that it would be seen as not 100% pukka! Should I NC? Confused

I'm pretty new to posting (lurked for a while though) and I have been totally suckered in by a couple of troll threads...most recently the "lick my boss's chest" one. Totally hook line and sinker.

Felt a tad like a twat.

I've been accused of being a troll. I've said some things that could be construed that way I guess; however, I think anyone who perhaps holds a contrary opinion has that accusation levelled at them.
