When is it a relationship

Ok, sounds strange but not had a boyfriend for over 6 years. Just met a young guy and had 1 date. More to follow. Not sure either of us are intending this to be a long term thing, but it is more than a fling I think.

What makes something a relationship and not just friends with benefits?

I think it's when you BOTH want it to be .

When you meet his friends and family and he meets yours? When you do activities together not just dates and sex?

I suppose FWB is still a relationship, only a friendship relationship.

But that's why a friendship with benefits can be complicated. Because it can get blurred and confusing.

I don't think relationships can be categorised.

It's up to you if you want to see a lot or less, if you want to be exclusive or not, if you want to have lots of sex or less, if you want to live in the same house or not, even if you want to make it official (marrying) or not.

I wouldn't worry about it for now. See what happens.
