Sex outside of a marriage

Cheeky question maybe - but do you think living in a sexless marriage gives you the right to look for sex outside? I have a friend who is in a sexless, affectionless relationship and, after 3 years, is wondering should she look for sex outside of this relationship??

She's otherwise reasonably content - but it is a marriage of convenience, nothing else.

What do you think?

No. SHe should get divorced first, then she can do what she damn well wants.

Or come to an understanding with her OH that it is all right to get it elsewhere. Maybe he wouldn't mind as long as she kept paying the bills and doing the laundry. Some people don't.

If her husband said yes and had the same 'rights' to go to other people, then why not. If you're asking if she should have an affair, i would say no.

It doesn't give you a "right", but it might give you an excuse, or a reason. Is her DH content, too? If he knew, would he be happy she's happy, or angry and made insecure?
So much depends upon the quality of her marriage. I'd say, try it if she wants to stay with DH but needs affection & sex sometimes; but be aware that all may end in tears.
