Splitting up when pregnant. Anyone been there?

My dd is nearly 4 and I fell pregnant 16 weeks ago when dp and I were on already rocky ground. Background is that he's having some sort of mid-life crisis which I felt we were strong enough at the time to get through but the (not entirely planned) pregnancy has sent him into a total spin and I think it's going to split us up.
He's obviously (to me) suffering from depression and is behaving so erratically but he wont admit it and wont get help. I feel constantly guilty for the baby as it isn't really wanted by him (the opposite to the first pregnancy) and I feel so protective about it that I'm finding it hard to forgive him for making this pregnancy so hard.
Anyway...my option is to take dd and live with my mother Sad. I have a very supportive family but I can't imagine not having him as part of the birth and the new baby's life. He is very close to dd obviously and it scares me that he wont be part of the new baby's life in the same way. Has anyone been there???
My other option is to try and stick with it until after the birth so give the bond a chance to be established. Hard for me but better for the children??

I know noone can really help with this, I just wanted to sound of and wondered if anyone has any experience of this?
Also if I were to move out, I would be moving to a different part of the country and wouldn't be able to get a job (being pregnant). Does anyone know about what benefits I would be entitled to - if any?

Sad sad sad...

If he loves his first dd the it's hightly unlikely he'ss reject his 2nd baby. However, it does sound liek you need space and/or couples councelling. He needs to decide where his indulgent little crisis is going to take him.
