Can't keep up with either the archers, nor the general thread...

Can anyone fill me in on what he has been up to with subduing helen recently.

So far I have heard him being an evil bastard about Jess's baby and convincing Helen he is not taking a DNA test
He has sold Jess as deranged.
He talked her out of working in the shop, but what has gone on before that made her fall for it hook line and sinker?
He brought up new years eve to worry her just after she told him about adam
Ages ago he he got her to choose a different dress, then there was something in the dress shop more recently.
He has got her convinced she likes rugby
heard him pressurising her to have a baby... to keep her bare foot and pregnant I presume.
she was talking about looking after rob and henry properly to her mum.
wasn't he a bit funny about Emma coming round? what happened after that?
did he have a strop about dancing classes?

He sold Jess!?
Grin

He's very good at doing stuff that you can't actually put your finger on. See pseudo's thread title for how something as simple as "Oh ... hello" can be controlling.
He didn't talk her out of working in the shop. She was a clever little thing and came to the conclusion all by herself. It was best for Henry. Don't you think?

He also persuaded to go hunting and is now working on getting Henry lined up for the barbaric sport.

I'll be amazed if she's actually allowed to go to the Valentine's Dance.

If she goes to the dance it's an absolute certainty that he'll make her wear a frumpy tent. Probably purple.

The latest storyline with the shop not doing well and Rob trying to dissuade Helen from intervening - is that still just him trying to control Helen and keep her at home, or does he have a motive to see the shop fail? I thought it was Rob who found the manageress (Tina?) so surely it would reflect badly on him if the shop went into decline?

Rob found Tina but Helen agreed she was right for the job (after a bit of psychological arm twisting) Helen feels Tina is her choice.
Rob will make sure Helen thinks it's Tina who has failed rather than his choice. Rob wants the shop to fail as it is Helens financial independence lifeline. He wants to isolate her too.
I can't see the valentines dance going ahead either.

hmm yes, it seems to have become a lot more overt. he really is a moody so-and so.

the contrast between helen enjoying working in the shop whan with hermother and then agreeing that workingin the shop is not a good idea when with rob is clear too.
