Phil & Ted Sport - Baby getting too big for cocoon

Hello, have a toddler and baby (12 weeks), baby is on underneath in cocoon but she's getting to big for it but also is too small for sitting in a seat if I put the doubles kit on. What am I meant to do? Do you put them in the bottom section without the cocoon and strap them in?

You can just put a folded blanket on the flat bed and lie baby down; maybe in snowsuit or covered with another blanket. No real need to strap in unless you are going off road. This was my approach anyway.

DS2 used to sleep on the flat bed until his feet were sticking out of the end.

DS2 grew out of the cocoon at 4 weeks! I just did as Blithedance said and stuck him in the bottom bit on a blanket without the cocoon, until he was big enough at around 5mo to go in the doubles seat.
