Coachbuilt prams

Hey ladies,

So I'm on the hunt for a coachbuilt pram that is smaller than the average, I'm wondering if anyone knows of any brands who make them. I know they exist because I saw one the other day and am still kicking myself for not gawping a little harder at the make.
If you don't now of any smaller ones that's fine as I would also like a list of brands who make coachbuilt prams other than Silver Cross, Marmet and Wilson.

I don't exactly know what makes a pram "coach-built" but have you seen the Babystyle prestige? My friend also has a modern silver cross with a very similar look which is much smaller than the old fashioned Balmorals etc.

I've got an older silvercross Kensington. It's still coachbuilt with solid body but frame can collapse down and it doesn't take up as much space as leather sprung balmoral.
Silvercross also made coachbuilt prams with soft bodies that were slightly smaller

the Italian made ones are sleeker- sorry no names. I'd google french, german etc also.

• the Viking models are compact. We have an edge duo which is a slightly larger one, but frankly still not massive.

I have a Silvercross Kensington too, and I can fit it in the boot of my Peugeot 206 if I take the wheels off and collapse the chassis.

Have you seen the new Cosatto Wonder pram? I think they are like marmite so a lot of people will find them horrendous but they are a classic pram shape. May be worth looking at (they are incredibly pricey though!).

Had an emmaljunga as well. They are brilliant and baby can actually lie in the carrycot until independant able to sit. Also seat units are big and comfortable. Managed to get mine in the boot of a Renault modus with a bit of experimenting. The proper big ones are beautiful. Had one of those as well, but not nearly as practical. Emmaljunga is easy to find second hand. I think teutonia make good ones as well, try babyonlineshop.de. . They are reasonable and deliver to uk.

Type coachbuilt pram into ebay loads come up there's also pram groups on Facebook you can join which sell them the only coachbuilt pram you can buy new these days are the Balmoral and Kensington from the silvercross website everything else that's still around is 2nd hand
You can tell a coachbuilt pram by its sprung straps or if its like a Kensington then it has a folding frame and huge white wheels basically huge white wheels = coachbuilt
