Chameleon 3 or Bee 3?

Expecting DC3 in April and need a new pushchair.

I had an iCandy for first baby, then a Bugaboo Donkey when the second child arrived.

Always wanted a Bee, but couldn't justify it just to be used as a second buggy.

Has anyone used the Bee 3 from birth? Or should I go for the Chameleon 3?

I found the bee was a little too lightweight with a small baby, Id had a donkey too and in comparison the bee felt like it was going to blow away - Great with an older child though!
IMO Id go with the cameleon 3, much nicer for a newborn, still lightweight but has more of a sturdy feel to it.

Hi MazzleDazzle, I had a similar conundrum but went for the ICandy Raspberry as it was cheaper than the Bee and had better features (stands up on it's own when folded, has better storage etc). I have used mine from birth to 9 months and so far it has been perfect, feels really sturdy despite being nice and small.

Thanks for the feedback folks.

I've never seen a Raspberry. It was the Apple I had. Will compare it to the Chameleon.

Looks like I'm back to where I started: owning a practical pushchair and looking longingly at the bee!

I would get the Cam 3, you can use the car seat or bassinet first, then move up to the regular seat as the baby gets older. Bee 3 would be more suitable for 6months upwards only really.

The only thing putting me off the Cham 3 is that you've to take off the seat to fold it.

My youngest is 4 now so it's been a while since I went pram shopping. There are so many new makes and models out! Want to get mine ordered in the next couple of months, so I've a while to decide.

You can now buy a full carrycot for the Bee 3 which is lovely. Perfectly suitable from birth. I had a Cameleon for DC1 and 2 but for 3 and 4 I have really enjoyed the lightweight manoeuvrability of the Bee. Not great off road though.

I would get the bee or raspberry. A two piece fold with older children is even more of a hassle as you will be likely running around places more with older children to school and classes and parties. So something that folds quickly is much more beneficial. Also better on planes and trains when they need folding.

We had the chameleon which was lovely but I really wish we had bought the bee in the end ( but it wasn't so easily available 6 years ago) as would have been much more convenient and compact. The cocoon in the bee is lovely and really good sunshade built in now
