Silvercross wayfarer or Graco Evo

Looked at both today and really liked them although now I've read a few reviews and am doubting myself... Any thoughts? Don't want to spend more than £800 on everything (inc cot attachment and car seat/isofix). Main things important are light to manoeuvre and easy to fold... Would really welcome any advice. Our car is a golf so an ok boot. Thank you!

I like the look of both, I think I would lean towards the silver cross as I feel it looks sturdier although I've not seen it in person

Evo looks cheap plasticky, silvercross is the better of 2 evils but if you walk a lot those wheelswill be awful. Get something with proper tyres like a bike much more comfortable for baby and you don't get the bone shaking rumble from pushing plastic wheels.

wayfarer felt very solid with very little suspension, baby would probably feel every lump and bump.
graco evo looked very flimsy, lots of plastic parts so it didn't feel like it was built to last

There is a new version of the wayfarer on the way but I've forgotten the name.. It has better wheels though. The pioneer, I've googled it :-D The evo is great for the features and the price imo so looking cheap is possibly par for the course. I see a few daily and they appear to be holding up pretty well. With your criteria and budget I would look at a baby jogger city versa or versa gt, possibly an easywalker mosey if you have time to wait for it.

I have a graco evo and really like it. Ds is 17 months and we have used the evo nearly every day. It has a really big basket, you can change if from front to rear facing really easily (even with child in it) and it folds up really easily.

I think the wayfarer is like a tank isn't it? My sil is getting rid of hers; she didn't like it.

I got a BJCM, really easy to fold and fits in car boots nicely. I really like it. I thought about a versa, but I needed something lighter - if I was using a car rather than public transport, I'd probably have gone for that.

Thank you for all your feedback. Will definitely hold off and see what the new wayfarer is like - thank you. I really liked the cot and ease of the frame so if they sort the wheels out that could be the one. Will also check out the icandy although I think that will be more than I'm looking to spend.

Id second the post that said both are rubbish. The evo looks cheap and feels cheap - like most gracos, and the wayfarer has had awful reviews. If you are prepared to spend on a wayfarer you'd be better off with an icandy or a bugaboo. I have a bugaboo and love it, so easy to manoeuvre and my dd always looks comfy in it.

The only negative I've seen about the wayfarer is the wheels, if they sort that it should be a good travel system. Personally I didn't like the bugaboo, i found it quite heavy. Have you seen other negatives on the silvercross?

I've got a Graco Evo and I love it! Yes it looks a little plastic-y but the benefits of it more than outweigh that. The seat is big enough for my tall 3 year old, baby is very comfortable in it, and it was so cheap (I paid £270ish when it was on offer in mothercare, that was for the pram, carry cot and car seat). I went in with the intention to get a bugaboo but it was just so heavy, the Evo is half the weight and lovely to push even with a week's shopping in the basket :)

The Wayfarer is gorgeous but the handling is awful -the Pioneer is the new one which is supposed to have resolved the issues with the Wayfarer. I absolutely would not buy a Wayfarer - get a Pioneer.

Meanwhile the Graco Evo is cheaper, but I would much prefer one because functionality wise it is much better to use and handle.

However, you have a decent budget. I would send you off to look at a new Babystyle Oyster 2 which is truly excellent - a mash up of the old neat Oyster chassis, with the better Oyster Max seat. I really fail to see any flaws in it. It works brilliantly, and is also suitable from birth.
The Baby Jogger Versa is pretty fabulous too. I would suggest either of these before the Wayfarer or Evo.

Thanks for your comments ladies. Am definitely holding on to see the pioneer, will check out the oyster too.
