Faulty Pushchair?

I haven't had any problems with my 2011 Maclaren Quest pushchair before. But it has happened a few times recently where it seems to collapse in on itself (as if it were being folded up) but when my sons actually been sitting in it. Luckily he's not been hurt by it. He is 2.5 stone now so just over the 15kg (2.3 stone) weight limit.
Has it developed a fault? Or is it because he's now over the weight limit?

I would say its because of the weight limit but then I'd have thought they have some leeway built in but maybe not.

Either way faulty or not I'd stop using it before he gets injured :)

Agree its likely to be because he's over the weight limit - do you put a bag / shopping on it as well, as that will add extra weight also? No idea if it would still be safe now with a smaller child or if its likely to be damaged and dangerous.
