Why is my BJ City Micro so heavy?

Bought it in an attack of the vapours from ebay - collected it this morning, put it together and used it today (it was new). I love it empty but am finding it nearly impossible to push with my 17kg ds2. I have to use both hands and all my might to turn it - and use my foot on the brake bar to get it up and down kerbs.

is it my fault for buying it, or does it sounds dodgy? I'm sure it's the former - and short of taking my Urban Detour with me everywhere (which I can't) I'm at a loss to what to try now Confused

I assume you have unlocked the swivel wheels? The micro is heavier than the Mini but shouldn't be hard to push. My mini is fine with my two in it. If you are still stuck give Kooltrade a ring on Tuesday and see if they have any suggestions.

Thanks for your speedy reply - it is unlocked - as I've had 2 Minis in the past and they've never been a thing like this - I did have a bag in the basket but still - this was even on smooth tiled floor?

I will try it again over the weekend without the bags and then if still like this ring them

Baby Jogger offer a lifetime warranty on their pushchairs (apart from the fabrics) so Kooltrade should be able to help you somehow. Good luck trying without the bags.

Kooltrade told me that the frame fr the micro is the same as the mini, so it shouldn't feel any different unless it's having the smaller front wheel that makes the difference.

I believe they are made from a different metal which is why the micro is heavier than the mini, but the size etc is probably the same. But it shouldn't make much difference.

I find it uncomfortable to push my 18 month old ds in it too.

I put it down to the small wheels.

Not a nice push at all tbh.
