For anyone with an Uppababy Vista

I plan to get the Uppababy Vista. Before ordering, I'd like to hear from anyone who has one to hear what you thought of it AND to hear which accessories you think were useful or essential.

Details:

  • summer baby so summer in carrycot, winter in pushchair
  • has anyone got the ganoosh footmuff? The store I'm biying from doesn't have it instore to see. Or what did you use as a footmuff / cover?
  • any thoughts on the baby snugseat insert e.g. what age did you use it for? Again, it's not available instore so I can't see it first.

Any other thoughts would be appreciated Smile

thanks

Well i've had my Mica Vista for a month or two now (i lose track)...But i'm most probably going to sell it so i can buy a Donkey...I'm always after the perfect pushchair and the Vista isn't it...It doesn't have much suspension though i'm aware it may 'loosen' over time and tyres feel very hard compared to what i'm used to...It is pretty large and i find it easier to manage it in 2 pieces...High up seat is great and my DD loves sitting in it...She's 22 months old so obviously not used the carrycot...The sunshades will be great for a tiny baby but i know my DD won't tolerate them unless she was asleep...Huge basket is fantastic, one of the reasons i'm umming and arrring over a Donkey...I just used my Bugaboo footmuff on it as i know my DD wouldn't like the diagonal zip but your baby wouldn't know any different and first Winter wouldn't careless anyway...Any specifics, just ask.

Thanks - interesting to hear about the lack of suspension as I thought it had more suspension than most pushchairs. I'd be mainly using it in towns so on dodgy pavements and up and down kerbs a lot...

Hi just incase you have been swayed away from the Vista the Britax B Smart 4 is similar but has good suspension and the seat unit itself is suitable so no need to store a carrycot.

It can be used with a sheepskin liner and the apron supplied as a cosy footmuff and soft base for baby to sleep on or you can buy a footmuff. The best footmuff I have ever used was the Jane Nest Plus it was so cosy and soft and also the biggest on teh market AFAIK.

I personally love the older Britax Vigours...I had a B Smart briefly but my DD didn't like the seat, it didn't sit up enough...But i guess if you had it from birth your LO wouldn't know any different whereas my 18 month old did...The B Smart does have far better suspension than the Vista...B Smart has a lie flat seat whereas the Vista has a bucket seat, like the older Vigours.

Anyone else found the suspension poor on the vista? Is it ok for rough pavements/ grass?

Has anyone else got any thoughts?

Thanks

I'm definetly selling mine now i've got my beloved Donkey...No suspension but doesn't matter because of the air tyres...Be better if you could buy optional air tyres for the Vista, then it'd be so much comfortable to push.
