P&T or Maclaran+buggy board??

DS1 is 2.5 - he walks/scooters but not consistently. DS2 is 8 months and still naps in the buggy.

Buggy needs to go in the car (every other day).

Would you buy a P&T (if so, which one?) or a Maclaran (XT type one) + buggy boaard?

Thanks ladies

I've been through a lot of doubles/buggyboard combinations. Personally, I liked the P&T in newborn mode but in toddler mode, it was horrible to push - I kept kicking the back seat and had to kind of stoop while I was walking to avoid it.

It's a similar situation with the buggy board but not as bad. If you already have a Maclaran, I would just get a buggy board to add to it.

I've seen good reviews on a Strolli but never used one myself.

Good luck :)

I also kick the back seat of the P&T but prefer it to a buggy board, which we tried once and I was cursing after walking 10yds.

At least with the P&T I can keep both of them dry and walk pretty quick when I need to (they are 4.5 and 2.69 and we still use it). Would be a PITA putting it in the car though, I never have to do it.

Thanks ladies - just to pick your brains further - which is the 'best' p&t, in your opinion?

Generally DS1 is pretty well behaved but I do prefer to be able to 'remind' him that he can be strapped in the buggy if misbehaving...not so easy with a buggy board!

I don't think you can go far wrong with a P&T sport - can't remember what this has been renamed to? I can't see buggy boards ever working with DS1, strapping them both down has been important!

done both and went for a Phil & Teds classic V2 as it wasn't a lot more expensive new than a sport on ebay, had it a month now and am loving it - buggy board has gone to frustrate some other poor soul and my back has a new lease of life Grin if you want new oxford pram centre and groovy style do the classic v2 (it's black) otherwise get a sport or an E3 off ebay

you would need to take the board off the mac every time you want to fold it, so p&t would prob be as easy to fold as a mac,
personally i would go for the p&t,i found mine really handy when both kids were older and used it for holidays and days out when the kids were tired,it was a godsend having the spare 'just incase' seat!

i've got a P&T sport (from ebay) which is great. Can't put a buggy board on it, though i believe the new model of P&T might be buggy-boardable. Don't use a car, so don't have to fold it up. Also use a buggy board with a Loola. And have a very cheap umbrella fold (not a Maclaren) which I used to use a buggy board with, but the frame is not strong enough any more. (3 yr old and 18mth old too heavy in combination - don't know if that would also be a problem with a Maclaren?) Found the buggy board took about a month or so to get DS1 used to - after that it was/is fab - except now it's been so over-used (after about a year) that it keeps falling off the buggy, which disconcerts DS1 rather...
