does anyone know if the maclaren carry cot techno xlr fits in older xlr models? the boots website mentions it's only for models 2009 onwards, but none of the other sites selling it say anything like that.

Also, how is it attached to the actual buggy?cause it it doesnt attach, maybe i can just but a phil& ted cocoon - i know that every mother that used them loved them.

would be grateful of any advice

I have used a phil and ted cocoon on a maclaren techno classic and it was fab! I loved it.

we were borrowing it from someone else so I secured it as best I could and it was fine. If I wasn't borrowing it I would have secured it by buying a luggage strap and feeding it through the bottom of the cocoon for extra security.

oh by the way I went into mothercare and checked how it attatched ( the maclaren one ) and it seemed to be very similar to luggage strap hence my idea.

wiosna - i've been using the techno xlr with my DS since birth and we never bothered with the carrycot. most babies completely outgrow them so quickly as you know and they aren't the cheapest purchase!

i invested in a sheepskin buggy liner and then added on the cosy toes thing that comes with the techno and just a fleece blanket for esp cold days and found that when you had the seat reclined the whole way back and the hood down that that did the job rightly
