Hi,
I have got a 2.10 yr old and im looking for a buggy that will see him through the next year and that will last for ds2 when he gets too heavy for his mac (15 months atm).

He WILL NOT be strapped into it 24 hours a day and yes he does walk a lot too!!!!
I have no interest in what the buggy police have to say on the matter.Grin

Do I need to look for a nipper? jane thingy? mountain buggy?

Thanks Smile

My son is 3yr 4mnths and still occasionally in a buggy, mainly in this awful weather.

i have a phil and ted vibe and the seat is HUGE and its lovely to push too!

cant comment on any you have listed but hear great things about the mountain and nipper

I have a P&T Sport which fits my v tall (95th centile) 2.3 year old, with plenty of room to spare.

Baby Jogger city classic. See ebay for low cost one. There was a new one on there for 179 instead of 299! Or a baby jogger city summit. I'm not a fan of Phil and Ted's having owned one and found the manouverability poor. Hard to get up kerbs compared to other brands. Also build quality was cheap. I'm not keen on the Jane either having seen several with wonky rear wheels and missing brake bars! Other brands i do like are easylife sport. Also mountain buggy older models. Not so keen on the new ones.

sorry it was a baby jogger summit xc i meant. Not a city summit. Which doesn't exist! Lol.

I have an old mothercare 3 wheeler which my average sized 4 yr old can get in. If I didn't have that I would go for an old model mountain buggy

who are the buggy police? Grin

If you are not looking to buy new then have a look on ebay for an xts boogie 2.
Huge seat, super light and very very under rated.I got my last one in fab condition for £8.00 on ebay.

The back of the seat on the nipper is very short imo.

Urban Detour 3 wheelers from Mothercare.

They are mahoosive, and take unbelieveable amounts of weight. My 7 yo can still sit n the seat*, and I often sit on the footrest thingy on the front of mine to feed DS.

They are also dirt cheap on ebay - ours was £13.50.

*For research purposes only before the buggy police get me too Blush

I was going to say the nipper 360 seat is fairly small.

The XTS twister if one comes up has a huge seat hight wise too and if one comes a BOB - they are just fabulous better than a mountain buggy.

I had hugely tall dc and tried just about everything as I am pushchair addict......

We have the Mothercare Urban Detour from 2006 and it's still going strong. I can steer it one handed with 4yo ds in it.

We have a phil & teds too for both the dc's but it doesn't steer as well.

I'm not scared of the buggy police Grin.

The nipper is very light for a larger three wheeler though, and a dream to push, even with a heavy toddler in it. I never had a problem size wise, with mine.

i had a double nipper 360 and it was very light and good to use but the seat back was not so tall and i found the fold mechanisms a pain. You are pulling out pins and dismantling to fold. Quite inconvenient. For me i prefer the larger seat and quick fold on the baby jogger. Even if it is a little heavier. I like the seat and hood fabrics on the babyjogger quality wise too.

i have a nipper 360 double it's brilliant. i flogged my phil & ted for it and have no regrets. DD is 3 and tall/chunky and fits in it quite comfortably.
it pushes smoothly, almost glides, is great off road and if we take the back wheels off (easier than i thought) then it fits in the boot of a ford focus.
oh and it fits through our front door!

Had a phil and teds and a Jane salam and tbh the Jane has a much bigger seat area, I loved my phil and teds but sold it as I really love my Jane (has last from DD1 (5) to dd3 (18mths) and is still going strong.

I have a Jane thingy (single) and a nipper (double) love them both and dt2 who is now 3.7 tall and well built, could fit in either. He doesn't though they are used for this young brother now Wink
