Hi i currently have a maclaren techno xlr which i have had for over a year the thing is the pram has in the last 5 months started giving off static shocks i have been in touch with maclaren whohave said its not a problem with them as they have not had any previous complaints about this the static shocks are coming through on the rubber handles and i am not completely happy about this mcalaren have said they will not refund me as i got the pram from a catalogue and the catalogue have saidf because its out of the year warrenty they will not do anything so really i need some evidence of people who have had the same problems so we can possibly get some where with regarding this situation if people are happy for me to forward there replies and this thread to maclaren to try and get some when i would be grateful

I have had shocks off lots of buggies over the years. With one buggy I just to make sure I put my little finger on the bolt that held the handle on this stopped it building up. I only really got them in shopping centres and really smooth floors. The electricity builds up as you push so tapping a small but a wire to the bottom of the buggy so it touches the floor would also stop it. ( put it somewhere your child not going to put it in their mouth) Don't worry as your child is not touching the floor when the touch the frame they do not get a shock .

Sometimes listening in science at school pay off
