Hi. I have recently bought a Sport which I love to accommodate my 22 month old and 5 week old. However, I am already finding he is filling the cocoon and don't think it will be suitable for much longer. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what did you do? Did you wait till 6 months to put your youngest in the doubles seat? I am thinking that 2 months is going to be pushing the cocoon use.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Hi there. We found the same with our vibe plus the weather was too hot for the cocoon so we just laid him in the bottom without using the cocoon. DS2 is now 5 months and I have changed the configuration but any earlier than this and he would have been wobbling around all over the place and not able to sleep properly.

Sorry, i can't help on the cocoon front, as I didn't use one for dd2.

we bought the P&T when she was about 3 motnhs old, and we used to line the seat with a thin blanket, or similar, and then dress dd2 for the weather (snowsuit, etc).

I have seen lotsof people saying their dc outgrew the cocoon, thoguh.

I think we put dd2 into the doubles seat at about 5 months, iirc.

they do outgrow the cocoon early - we just to either line the baby seat with a buggy snuggle or ended up getting a cheap mountain buggy double off eaby for a few months until big enough to go into the doubles seat (mine are all late sitters up and I don't like them being upright until they can sit that way on their own iygwim?

Thanks. Will be investing in a buggy snuggle I think!

We just ditched the cocoon and put DD laid flat wrapped in a blanket.

Started using the doubles seat at about 5 months.

Any earlier and I would maybe have used it but with a head hugger to keep her sat upright.

same here - DS out grew the cocoon at around 6-8 weeks.... buggysnuggles are a great investment

DD outgrew the cocoon at about 4 months.

She was ok in the lie flat part with blankets for a couple of weeks more but then she screamed all the time so I put her in the back seat with a buggy snuggle.

you can get a phil and teds "bunny" which i used with my DS until he was 5 mths old (it was too hot for a cocoon anyway!)

I laid it flat and it has an inflatable head support so no wobbling around, i found it brilliant!!! It also has a cotton side and a fleecy side so you can use it in winter and summer
