Outdoor Solar Lights - do they work in winter?

Just wondering if any of you have outdoor solar lights? If so, are they any good? Do they run out after a short while or last well into the night? Are they bright or a bit dull? And do they work in winter?

I have a couple of these and have found that they do work in winter although the light doesn't seem as bright. They are usually still working when we go to bed! Hope this helps.

I bought some cheap ones from Sainsburys and they dont work at all even though they get planty of sun!
Wouls suggest getting decent lights perhaps from a lighting website/supplier.
