She moved in with her best friend and they redecorated in dark colours without painting to the celing, all over skirting board. Badly painted all the radiators. Killed the lawns, left fireworks and cans all over the garden. Overran the bath leaving brown stains all over the celing. Then moved out leaving all their crap behind and stinking food and rubbish.

Let's hope you get a fab offer and it all goes through very quickly.

Guess your sister won't be getting any birthday or Christmas gifts for a while!

twinsetandpearls · 04/04/2009 20:51

we are on at a fixed price which I think we will get as both viewings have not stopped talking about how cheap the house is.

I am not going to hold a grudge against my sister, I am angry but she is still y sister,

That is fantastic news. Just a bit curious - how long had the house been like that before anyone bothered to mention it to you? Fingers crossed for a bidding war .

Pleased that you have got house sorted - I remember your thread when you'd 'house dcotored' it and it was looking really good . Have you found something fab to buy in Dorset?

We have even though we promised ourselves that we would not look until we have a firm offer, but that is human nature I guess. In a way it was a good thing though as the house we want goes to auction in May so we have a deadline. The property we want has been on the market for year partly because they are selling privately so it is not on right move and they have been slow in dropping the price.

The buy to let viewer actually said our house although in his bracket for buy to let was actually fat to nice to put tenants in and he was discussing with his son moving in himself. What a turnaround. He was viewing another house on our road today but it is 10K more.

Oh good luck, twinset - fingers crossed for you. We've accepted an offer on our flat so I'm hoping you'll be joining me in that happy state soon.

Congratulations!

Glad DP mananed to get it sorted, hope it wasn't too much hassle.

Have you spoken to your sister at all, has she even apologised? Or is that a bad topic to be avoided on a happy thread?

at your sister. I can't believe the agent didn't mention it.

fingers crossed you get a firm offer this week.

Neither can I we are at the other end of the country and the estate agent knew that. It just never entered my head that my sister would do that knowing how desperate we were to sell. We did not have any serious viewings unti about 2 months ago though as the price must have been too high, although we lowered it at our insistence. As soon as we had feedback that the house needed decorating again we were there.
