looking for a cheaper version of the harvey jones linear kitchen

I've seen this in Magnet which is pretty much the same, but I was hoping to get something from diy kitchens as everything else seems so overpriced!
Do in-frame slab door designs exist anywhere else, or can it be done using the diy kitchen ranges? New to all this and just trying to find my way around the diy website!

My friend just had this magnet one installed and its lovely! If your budget stretches to it then go for it. Like you say slab fronted in frame kitchens are not very common but give a lovely effect.

All companies create lovely kitchens. MFC base units, MDF/Solid wood doors. Some charge you through the roof and some charge sensible prices for "exactly the same goods" and sometimes, even better quality and components. Get a few quotes and you'll see what I mean! DIY are a good option to get a baseline price for what things "should" cost.

This company will be cheaper and their furniture is made of wood not laminate, made to measure and it comes fully assembled. But you will have to paint it yourself

My kitchen has gone in this week from Handmade and were very happy with it. I really didn't rate any of the 'high street' brands and felt their products were inferior. Our handmade kitchen cabinets were half the price of all the suppliers who quoted us.

We've had our kitchen from that company for 8 years and I'm delighted with it. It looks good as new, apart from some water damage to the stained units under the sink, which is our own fault.

The painted cabinets look as good as new - pretty good given that we had 3 small children when they were installed .

The quality of the furniture is beautiful, the units are delivered completely assembled wrapped in removal blankets.

I have tall ceilings and was able to order extra tall wall units and extra deep base units, to give me more worktop and storage space. And the furniture looks in proportion to the room .

What did you decide to go for in the end? I'm looking for exactly the same thing. The handmade kitchens company look great but I don't see a slab door style available, which is what I really want.

Something to be aware of just now is that the Handmade Kitchens lead time is currently more than six months. Our builder can't believe I'm willing to wait.

Wow, that's quite a wait. I'm only looking for now though - need to get extension planned and built first!

I know True Bespoke Kitchens in Hertfordshire do the bespoke flat in-frame kitchens. Their lead time is only 6-8 weeks and they paint it all for you too. www.truebespokekitchens.co.uk/in-frame-linear.html

Neptune Suffolk and lighthouse are similar too.

Handmade Kitchens do not manufacture flat fronted in frame kitchens. All their door styles are shaker / shaker based. I checked with them, and sadly this is the case.
