Can anyone help?! Trouble installing outside tap

Bought this kit from homebase. DH has managed to fit it all, drilling through outside wall etc and appears to have done a good job!

However the "tap" bit that's inside the house (which connects to our existing pipe) doesn't seem to be watertight. (Pictured in the middle of the hose bit in the picture). DH tightened it and the metal snapped so he presumed he over tightened. But he's now tried again with a replacement part and can't get it to stop dripping. Only slightly, not loads.

Any advice please? Would be very grateful! It's all getting a bit stressful!

If It's been over-tightened, the main pipe may now be deformed and probably won't seal. Now the pipe will have a hole pierced in it and will have to be replaced.

Using saddle valves to tap into supplies like this is not normally recommended, more of them end up leaking than not AFAIK.

If you have to get a plumber to replace the leaking pipe, get them to put in a T for the outside tap and you'll be good to go with the rest of the kit.
