Dual colour window frames?

Sorry for all the questions today - builder is wanting answers.

2 storey extension. Ground floor will have aluminium grey bi-fold doors (have already decided that).

Looking at the back of the house from the garden, you will be able to see 2 bedroom windows. In order to "match" the downstairs, we are thinking of getting grey window frames. Builder has suggested dual tone (they are grey on the outside but white on the inside) so the internal decor of the rooms - which we're planning to be quite light as certainly one of the rooms will have a small window - won't be "dragged down" by dark window frames.

Anyone any experience of these? Does is sound like a viable option?

We had the dark brown woodgrain outside/white inside ones in our last house, because the house wouldn't have looked right with white windows (and all the other houses around had the dark brown woodgrain), but I don't like the look of them. The fitter offered them as an alternative, they were pretty much the same price. He said we could get them in a load of different colours too.

I much preferred the white frames on the inside, and they did make a difference to how bright the rooms felt to me.

I think it would be a good idea under the circumstances.

We have green on the outside and a soft white on the inside, both have a wood grain finish. I love them. A bit different on the outside, but easy on the eye from the inside and will go with any colour scheme.

That's exactly what we have just done, white on the inside, grey on the outside and grey aluminium bifolds ! Looks great I think.
