Hello -I'm currently waiting to hear about exchange/completion via a nationwide mortgage. The website just says that after completion they will write to advise of when the first payment is due... Can anyone shed light on approx how long it is from completion? Thank you

I imagine it would be a month or less if you've chosen more regular payments?

We are also waiting to exchange/complete with a nationwide mortgage. On our mortgage offer I think it says 10 days after competion and it's quite a bit more than our normal monthly payment.

Yes my first payment is a lot more too to make up for the time we are there before paying, would just like to know how many days/weeks it could be.

Not nationwide, but we got the letter 2 days after completion. I can't imagine they'll leave it too long!

I think we did our first payment on the day of the month we chose to make payments. We moved/completed on the 7th, first payment was the next 1st of the month I think.

We complete next week And also using Nationwide. My understanding is because we want to pay 1st of the month our first payment on 1 March will be for March + the 10 days of Feb since we completed.

We completed on the 8th of Jan and our first payment went out on the 5th of Feb.

Our first payment went through on the first day of the month following completion. Was also more than the regular monthly payment.

On the front of my Nationwide mortgage offer it says that they will write to us within 10-14 days of completion to advise us of the date of the first payment.

Sorry pressed send too early, and our broker said that normally it's around another two weeks for Nationwide to take the payment.

Checked the mortgage offer today -they take the first payment on the first calendar day after completion.

Guess we were lucky, we completed 4th December and our first payment was 28th January.

Hi guys, im having a nightmare.. My mortgage was completed on 29th Feb with Nationwide after lots of delays.. I questioned the advisor re my first payment and he said aprox 3 weeks but i will get a letter through post to confirm within 5 days.. After a week i still didnt recieve the letter so i rung him direct and he gave me the payments line number to which after 40 mins of wait i gave up, i then went into a local branch the following week and the reception lady said it is on system to be collected on the 2nd of April so i made sure funds were in there by April. Now here is the SHOCKER!! Now in Sept i was curious to see my credit report and did a experien check, and i found the Nationwide mortgage and showing ive always paid for last 6 months 1 month late!!!!! After ringing the Nationwide they told me i was in ARREARS SINCE MARCH!! i was as you can imagine very angry, the lady said your first payment was attempted to be collected on the 18th March!!?? I questioned this as no one made me aware nor i recieved a single letter to remind me or a call to say ive missed a payment etc!! Now that i complained to the branch the head office called me back and the case handler said it will be his decision to go in my favour or against but he needs facts to prove i never recieved the letter and secondly i was never told they would collect on the 18th March? How on earth can i do this!! I then asked when the payment letter was sent to me and he said on the system its showing as the 7th March so i was furious and replied if it was sent 7th and took 2/3 days for me to recieve which would take it to the 10th march are they expecting me to make the mortgage payment with 7 day notice? Surely this isnt Treating Customers Fairly? Anyone please help me as this agent wants any records of txt msgs that i have sent to the mortgage advisor questioning the payment dates? ( i have the txts and will forward them) however what if i dint as its 6 month aftrr we had the conversation!! Seems incredibly unprofessional???! Angry
