Fitting a gas fire?

I am sure that when we had the meeting with the site manager for this house he said that there was a gas point behind the built out chimney breast in the living room.

When we built the fire surround and had all the skirting boards off etc we didnt see one but there is a definite gap between the brick work where a flue could go and the chimney top looks Class one to me.

Where would this gas point be? I really want a gas fire now but it's a much bigger job if we need to get the gas supply in there too.

I think you need to look at the plans, if you have any, and refer to the sales contract for the details. Otherwise go back to the builders and ask them.
