Kitchen flooring

We have engineered oak on our kitchen floor. After 9 years it's looking way past its best and it's time for a change. But what to? I quite like the idea of porcelain tiles that look like limestone. I have them in one of my bathrooms and they are really easy to keep clean in there … will it be easy to look after in our kitchen?

Or what else could we have?

Is it worth sanding them down and refinishing? I think engineered wood can be sanded down at least once, sometime twice depending on the thickness. Or do you just fancy a complete change?

whootwhoot - It's definitely past its best as we had a water softener leak which has left the gaps between the boards a bit separated. Sad
