Can I get a home with 2 acres in England for £250k? Anywhere?

Have been looking on Rightmove etc, but can't find a search engine where I can specify acres, only big garden. On this budget, certainly not in the market for a smallholding, just a 'home' of some kind with 2 beds (not a mobile, DH would never agree to that) with a field. This is a childhood dream, which I have almost, but not quite, given up. DH reckons it's impossible and I am beginning to think he might be right. Does anyone fancy proving him wrong?

it's a really tall order. i had a quick look on Rightmove for you and couldn't find anything. However would this be of interest to you? Don't be put off by the area. The countryside around the town is actually really pretty. Good luck with your dream

MisForMumNotMaid I cannot believe that one in Devon - it is stunning! That is amazing and not a million miles from where we are now. There is hope then.
